HEU-2025-Improved reliability and optimised operations and maintenance for wind energy systems
About
Our project will deliver a first-of-its-kind, fully integrated “digital twin” ecosystem for both onshore and offshore wind farms, combining physics-informed machine learning, autonomous inspection robotics, and blockchain-backed data management to push reliability and operations & maintenance (O&M) beyond today’s state of the art. By focusing on critical sub-systems (e.g. dynamic cables, mooring lines, power electronics) and deploying advanced condition monitoring, predictive analytics and autonomous tools, AURORA project will reduce downtime , cut O&M costs, and extend asset lifetime of assets.
