UKNNL’s facility comprises of equipment and flexible floorspace to develop, test, and demonstrate robotic solutions for the nuclear industry. The research test rigs available act as a link between low Technology Readiness Level robotics research and technology progression to TRL 6/7:

*Sort and Segregation Facility - Full size industrial test facility aimed at bringing autonomy to robotic operations for Nuclear Decommissioning. The facility can be operated with autonomous or teleoperated control.

*Size Reduction and Laser Cutting Robot Test Facility - A test facility available for: material cutting tests, cut path planning and collision avoidance, object recognition, system architecture deployment, fume management, and laser ablation trials.

*Decommissioning Cell / Post Operation Clean Out Cell / Inspection Cell - Tailored Plant Representative Mock-Ups to help enable academics, SMEs and industry to translate ideas into implementable technology.

*Non-active Dive Tank with side viewing window for ROV deployment testing.
