Academia Nacional de la Ingeniería y el Hábitat de Venezuela (ANIH)

The Academy's purpose is to contribute to the development of science, technology, and the arts related to the disciplines of engineering and urban planning, and to studies related to the contribution of these disciplines to the country's comprehensive development. To this end, it may:

1. Promote, study, program, and disseminate research and projects in the fields of engineering, architecture, and urban planning;

2. Cooperate in defining and developing general guidelines and specific public strategies related to the development of infrastructure linked to engineering, architecture, and urban planning, as outlined in national and sectoral plans and programs;

3. Collaborate in the development of higher education teaching and research plans related to engineering and urban planning;

4. Provide support for public and private initiatives in the fields of engineering, architecture, and urban planning that significantly impact national development; 5. To take initiatives and express its reasoned opinion in the drafting of bills related to engineering, architecture, and urban planning, as well as in any matter of public interest that directly or indirectly concerns the corresponding sciences;

6. To compile, classify, and publish works in the fields of engineering, architecture, and urban planning that warrant such publication;

7. To establish a library of works on engineering and urban planning by national and international authors; and,

8. To carry out and promote all activities consistent with its nature and purpose
