WFTO Asia is the Asia regional network of the global WFTO movement — the world's only organization that verifies enterprises as 100% committed Fair Trade across all operations. Based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, we represent 100+ Guaranteed Fair Trade Enterprises across 19 Asian countries, including craft and textile producers primarily in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
WFTO, based in the Netherlands, is the global verifier of social enterprises worldwide through its Guarantee System, spanning 84 countries across 5 regions.
We are seeking consortium partners for Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls CIRCBIO-02 and CIRCBIO-04. We offer: verified access to natural fibre and blended textile supply chains at producer level; multi-country MSME networks for pilot implementation of circular textile systems; an existing sustainability measurement framework aligned with Digital Product Passport (DPP) and ESPR directions; and producer-level traceability infrastructure across fragmented Asian production networks. Our member enterprises — 80%+ women-led — represent the Global South production context that circular textile recycling technologies must be demonstrated against to achieve scalability beyond Europe.
We bring field implementation capacity across Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, combined with verified Fair Trade credentials that address the social equity and supplier inclusion dimensions required under the EU Green Deal and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). Thailand is confirmed as automatically eligible for EU Horizon Europe funding under the low-to-middle-income country list. All four of our primary partner countries — Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, and Sri Lanka — carry the same automatic funding eligibility.
