The National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) of Moldova is a public-private institution mandated to implement national policies and coordinate the strategic development of the vitivinicultural sector. It operates as a multi-stakeholder platform, bringing together public authorities, industry actors, and support organizations. ONVV plays a key role in strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of the wine sector, in line with EU policies and the Green Deal objectives. The organization designs and implements programs that support the adoption of sustainable viticulture practices, resource efficiency, climate adaptation measures, and quality assurance systems. With strong experience in grant management, technical assistance, and sector-wide capacity building, ONVV facilitates the uptake of innovation at winery and vineyard level, including digital solutions, traceability systems, and certification schemes. ONVV is actively engaged in knowledge transfer and innovation ecosystems, collaborating with research institutions, development partners, and industry stakeholders. It contributes to the development of AKIS-related activities, demonstration initiatives, and peer-to-peer learning in the sector.
Through its activities, ONVV provides a solid platform for piloting, scaling, and disseminating solutions that support the transition towards a sustainable, climate-resilient, and market-oriented wine value chain, positioning Moldova as an active partner in European research and innovation initiatives.
