About
INTEC (Instituto de Desarrollo Tecnológico para la Industria Química) is a research institute jointly operated by the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), located in Santa Fe, Argentina.
The institute conducts interdisciplinary research in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, biotechnology, and process engineering, with a strong focus on the development of innovative technologies for sustainable industrial processes and environmental protection.
INTEC has extensive experience in water and wastewater treatment, advanced oxidation processes, catalysis, separation processes, bioprocess engineering, materials development, and environmental technologies. The institute integrates fundamental research with applied engineering, supporting technology development, scale-up, and transfer to industry and public institutions.
Researchers at INTEC participate actively in national and international research projects, collaborate with industry and governmental organizations, and contribute to the training of graduate and postgraduate students in engineering and related disciplines.
Through its multidisciplinary teams and research infrastructure, INTEC aims to generate scientific knowledge and technological solutions to address industrial, environmental, and societal challenges, particularly in the areas of sustainable processes, circular economy, and environmental remediation.
