AnaEE-ERIC’s services allow the scientific community to apply manipulations to the environment of all terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems, to study how they will evolve under global changes and anthropic pressures. Adaptation and mitigation measures can be studied for a wide range of climate/ecosystem combinations. The uniqueness of AnaEE-ERIC’s facilities is the experimental approach, where ecosystems can be manipulated and exposed to changes, such as pollution, biological invasions, land-use shifts, agricultural practices, greenhouse gas emissions and extreme events such as droughts and heatwaves
