About
Connexus International gGmbH is a Berlin-based nonprofit dedicated to international cooperation between the Global North and Global South. We specialise in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), agroecology, climate adaptation, and participatory capacity building. With a PhD-led team and 40+ partner organisations across MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe, we bring field expertise in biodiversity conservation, indigenous seed preservation, cooperative development, and community resilience. We coordinate the Coalition Marocaine pour l'Agroécologie (17+ members) and manage multi-country programmes with proven MEL frameworks.
We design and implement multi-country programmes across the MENA region, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe, working alongside civil society organisations, grassroots movements, and academic institutions to advance social justice and democratic participation. To date, Connexus has convened multi-stakeholder encounters bringing together youth and social movements from over 24 countries across four continents — fostering cross-cultural dialogue, shared learning, and collaborative problem-solving.
Our work is organised around five thematic pillars:
-
Popular Education and Transcultural Communication
-
Agroecology and Climate Justice
-
Youth Participation and Democracy
-
Critical Knowledge and Capacity Building
-
Human Rights and Migration
Rooted in participatory methodologies and horizontal pedagogy, we ensure that programme beneficiaries — particularly youth, women, and marginalised communities — are active co-creators of development processes, not passive recipients of aid.
