ARETE Institute for Sustainable Prosperity is a research-driven non-governmental organisation based in North Macedonia (Widening country), dedicated to advancing sustainable food systems and just socio-ecological transitions. ARETE works at the intersection of Living Labs, participatory governance, behavioural change, and social sciences and humanities (SSH), with a strong focus on translating research into real-world impact at community and policy levels.

The organisation has hands-on experience in Horizon Europe Cluster 6 projects, contributing to the design and implementation of Living Labs, stakeholder engagement processes, joint learning activities, and impact-oriented dissemination and exploitation strategies. ARETE combines methodological expertise in co-creation, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and ethics and societal impact assessment with strong communication capacities, supporting consortia in making research outcomes accessible to policymakers, practitioners, and citizens.
