We are the Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, dedicated to advancing research in agriculture and veterinary sciences in our country. Our team focuses on improving food security, sustainable agricultural practices, and animal health through innovative research and collaboration. By fostering strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders, we aim to translate our findings into practical solutions that benefit farmers, veterinarians, and the broader community. Together, we work towards a sustainable future for agriculture and animal husbandry. We own 1000+ ha of land and run state-of-the-art reference labs in several sites across the country. We have several collections of interest, from germplasm banks (animal and vegetal) to microorganisms and forest species. We are a grouip of 130+ scientists couvering the enrtire food chain.
