Kveloce

Kveloce is an international SME with branches in Spain and Belgium specialised in European funding programs with more than 15 years of consolidated experience. Kveloce offers services for research and development activities, including innovation management and transfer of knowledge services, and dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities. For years, the expertise of the company in supporting research consortiums in different complementary activities (e.g. co-creation and co-design methodologies, impact assessment, policy recommendations, citizens engagement) has been applied to different health, social and environmental innovation projects.  

In the framework of the Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility, Kveloce can contribute with the following capacities:   

(i) designing engagement and raising awareness campaigns to increase the literacy of citizens regarding e.g., climate impacts, as well as evaluating the engagement and capacity building developed during the project. In this respect, in the HE project DISTENDER, Kveloce used a framework to evaluate the stakeholder engagement (profiles, types etc.) resulting from a series of participatory workshops. 

(ii) defining actions to involve the quadruple helix of innovation in project activities (public authorities, academia, business and civil society). This is a common approach that Kveloce implements in the projects we participate, combining when needed other approaches like the multi-actor approach and involving vulnerable groups. 

(iii) transforming scientific evidence in policy guidelines and recommendations to support decision-makers to take the best-informed decisions regarding, for example, the potential impacts of climate on different economic sectors. Guidelines and recommendations created often are tailor-made to the specific target audience from the quadruple helix of innovation. 

(iv) developing guidelines and implementing co-design and co-creation actions such as workshops, focus groups, to define together with the quadruple helix solutions, interventions and technologies to be used within the ecosystem. For instance, in DISTENDER, Kveloce was involved in all phases related to co-creation stakeholder workshops (pre-workshop, workshop implementation and post-workshop activities) dedicated to the definition of climate scenarios and adaptation and mitigation measures. 

(v) designing evaluation frameworks, collecting qualitative and quantitative data and evaluating them to extract evidence-base knowledge of new intervention models. 

(vi) exploring business models and sustainable strategies to guarantee the sustainability of the project results, also in the long-term. 

(vii) supporting Financial Support for Third Parties (FSTP), which is a Commission mechanism to distribute public funding in order to assist beneficiaries in the uptake or development of digital innovation. 

Kveloce is composed by a pool of experts with deep knowledge of Social Science and Humanities (SSH). Thus, in the projects we participate in and lead, we research and implement activities related to public engagement, socio-economic impact evaluation and sustainable and safe by design (SSbD), policy analysis and development of recommendations, pilot testing, and C&D&E, among others.    

Moreover, we are active in different networks (i.e. MedCORDEX, CLIVAR), providing relevant opportunities for stakeholders’ engagement and outreach activities.
