Valbiom is a Belgian organization dedicated to accelerating the transition toward a sustainable, circular, and biobased economy.

We act as a bridge between research, industry, and policy to foster innovation and market uptake of biobased solutions.

Our expertise covers the full value chain of the bioeconomy**, from bioenergy to biobased materials**, supporting stakeholders in developing viable and sustainable innovations.

Valbiom is the reference center for Bioeconomy in Belgium. 

In European projects, Valbiom can lead or contribute to work packages related to:

·       Driving stakeholder engagement and ensuring effective valorisation of project           results

·       Supporting the development of local and territorial bio-based value chains

·       Conducting regulatory and market analyses to facilitate the commercialisation of innovative bio-based solutions and the development of bioenergy pathways

·       Providing technical expertise in bioenergy (biogas, wood energy, biomass boiler, heat network) and bio-based materials (hemp, wool, grass, agricultural byproducts)

·       Performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and comprehensive sustainability evaluations

·       Designing and implementing communication and dissemination activities to maximise project impact
