About
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is a public university in Greece, located in the city of Thessaloniki (Central Macedonia). It is the largest university in Greece by student numbers. It covers a broad array of disciplines: natural sciences, engineering, humanities, social sciences, health sciences, arts. The main campus is in the centre of Thessaloniki, with additional educational and administrative facilities in other nearby locations. The School of Agriculture was founded in 1927, initially as part of the Faculty of Physics & Mathematics. Over time its organisational structure evolved: between 1937-1981 it was part of the Faculty of Agriculture & Forestry; in 1982-2005 it was under the Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences; in 2005 it became the Faculty of Agriculture. Today it belongs to the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment, which comprises two Schools: the School of Agriculture and the School of Forestry & Natural Environment.
