About
Fundación Tecnova – Technology Centre for the Auxiliary Industry of Agriculture
Located in Almería (Spain), Fundación Tecnova is a private non-profit technology centre that promotes innovation across the agri-food and auxiliary agriculture value chain. Positioned in Europe’s largest greenhouse-based horticultural ecosystem, Tecnova develops sustainable, digital, and circular solutions for high-tech crop production and agri-industry competitiveness.
Tecnova operates two experimental centres: one in Almería (12 ha of greenhouses dedicated to intensive horticulture and agrotechnology) and another in Huelva, focused on R&D for berries and subtropical crops. The centre also runs pilot plants for robotics and food processing and 10 specialised laboratories for biotechnology, postharvest, and materials testing.
With strong participation in European R&D programmes (Horizon Europe, LIFE, Interreg, PRIMA), Tecnova acts as a strategic innovation partner connecting research, SMEs, and industry to foster sustainable, resilient, and technology-driven Mediterranean agriculture
