Regenerative Water Systems: Biomimetic Hydrology, Nature‑Based Water Solutions and Multi‑Actor Approaches for Aquatic Resilience and Pollution Reduction

Strategic Development at CEEBIOS

Paris, France

About

Ceebios brings biological inspiration to water‑resilience strategies, applying hydrological patterns and ecological logics to urban and territorial water challenges. We help design robust, adaptive and regenerative solutions.

Our core expertise

  • Biomimetic hydrology: distributed retention, redundancy, buffering, filtration, trophic regulation, feedback loops.

  • Aquatic regeneration: bio‑inspired depollution concepts, sediment stabilisation, wetland logic, plant‑root interface mechanisms.

  • NbS for water: green‑blue infrastructures, sponge‑city concepts, watershed‑scale ecological design.

  • Multi‑actor facilitation: utilities, citizens, municipalities, planners, research actors.

  • Qualitative and regenerative evaluation: ecosystem‑services indicators, resilience criteria, hydrological diagnostics.

What we offer to consortia

  • Support for water‑resilient territorial design (flood/drought, retention, infiltration, overflow prevention).

  • Identification of biological strategies for filtration, hydraulic regulation, decentralised systems.

  • Co‑creation workshops to strengthen governance, inclusion and behavioural adoption.

  • Frameworks for replication and EU‑wide scaling of water‑resilience solutions.

Ideal partners

Water utilities, basin authorities, municipalities, hydrology/ecology research institutes, NGOs, technology providers.

Role sought

Full partner or WP co‑lead (biomimetic hydrology, NbS, aquatic regeneration, evaluation, co‑creation).
