HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-BIODIV-03: Pushing the frontier of knowledge and conservation action for deep sea ecosystems

CTO & Co-founder at Deepwater Robotics Inc.

About

Deepwater Robotics is a motivated team led by founders with doctorates in engineering who are dedicated to dramatically lowering the cost of deep-ocean data collection. Instead of selling hardware, we operate our own long-range, shore-launched Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to provide end-to-end data services. These systems traverse vast distances without surface support vessels and are qualified for 6,000m hydrostatic pressures. We specialize in the rapid development and deployment of AUV systems and sensor subsystems, bridging the gap between high-pressure engineering and scientific exploration. We are particularly interested in joining a consortium for the "HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-BIODIV-03: Pushing the frontier of knowledge and conservation action for deep sea ecosystems" call.

While our core expertise is in the deep sea, our operational model is also a perfect fit for high-resolution data collection on continental shelves. We seek a mission-driven ocean science partner to combine our in-house technical operations with your research expertise, enabling us to collectively unlock the data required to understand and protect our planet’s most remote marine ecosystems.
