evidence-based Nature-Based Solutions towards a nature positive and climate-resilient economy:
We offer expertise and innovation of NbS for urban flood management. We undertake research into the long-term performance and degradation of urban green infrastructure systems for flood management (sustainable drainage systems). We work extensively on optimizing green infrastructure design for urban flood management and are currently developing innovative new maintenance concepts based on natural and ecologically engineered solutions. This will enable us to co-create with local stakeholders NbS that incorporate low impact adaptive management for cost reduction and longevity. We work closely with our local authority, Glasgow City Council, on the Glasgow Avenues Program, an extensive green infrastructure flood management program.
