Holistic Sustainability Impact assessment

LCA (ISO 14040–44): Life Cycle Assessment evaluates the environmental impacts of a solution across its entire life cycle, helping determine how it can improve sustainability, reduce emissions, and support climate-mitigation and adaptation goals

Social-LCA (ISO 14075): Social Life Cycle Assessment examines how a solution affects workers, communities, and other stakeholders throughout its life cycle, identifying social risks and benefits to ensure sustainability gains are shared by all relevant actors.

Economic and financial assessment (TEA, LCC, or CBA – as relevant):
Depending on the maturity of the solution and the decision-making context, one of the following approaches is applied:-
Techno-economic assessment (TEA): evaluates technical feasibility, production pathways, scalability, and market competitiveness, with a focus on cost structures and performance parameters.

Life Cycle Costing (LCC): assesses all costs incurred over the solution’s life cycle, including capital expenditure, operation, maintenance, and end-of-life costs, from the perspective of one or more stakeholders.

Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA): compares total costs and benefits, including socio-economic and environmental externalities where possible, to determine the net value of the solution for society or specific decision-makers.

Trade-offs and synergies analysis:
An integrative analysis identifies trade-offs and synergies across environmental, social, and economic dimensions, supporting transparent decision-making and helping align sustainability performance with strategic and policy objectives.
