HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-FARM2FORK-04: Accelerating the development of breeding tools for perennial crops, specifically fruit and nut trees

Contribution that can be provided: Major French actors (research and technical institute) are involved in fruit and nut trees breeding and VGV can provide the connection with key producers in France. VGV R&D center is also involved in the transfer of R&D tools and methodologies to private breeders, with a possibility to customise specific actions toward niche crops or small breeders to optimise the uptake of innovation. Private actors are also delivering nex technologies to reduce significantly the time of the breeding process.
