About
The Institute for Life Science Technologies (ILT.NRW) is an application-oriented research institute at Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences in Germany, with a strong focus on digitalization (Industry 4.0, machine learning), sustainability, and the development of innovative processes and products in the life science sector with a strong background in food technology. We are looking for cooperation opportunities within Horizon Europe Cluster 6 to act as a trusted partner for research-based innovation in food and life science technology.
ILT.NRW offers strong scientific expertise for cluster 6 projects, especially those relating to
· Sustainable and resilient food systems

Bio-based products and processes

Circular bioeconomy and resource efficiency

Digitalization, DeepTech and AI in food processing and analytics
ILT.NRW can deliver the following key competences to Horizon Europe Cluster 6 projects:
· Applied life science research in bioeconomy, biotechnology and environmental systems, with focus also on deep tech, ai and machine learning
· Sustainable food systems: processing technologies, process development, quality aspects and food analytics, food safety and resource efficiency, consumer and human sensory studies,
· Bioprocess development and optimisation, including upscaling and validation (TRL 4–7)
· Environmental and resource-efficient technologies, including circular economy approaches
· Pilot-scale testing, demonstration and validation under near-industrial conditions in a Living Lab environment
