Partner to join HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-01 on circular systemic solutions and urban living labs

We are interested in joining a consortium for the topic HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-01 “Deploying circular systemic solutions through living labs in cities and regions” (CCRI topic, Innovation Action, TRL 6–8). We bring strong expertise in urban environments, circular and energy-efficient buildings, environmental quality, digital twins and living labs. We are looking for consortia that set up demonstration and replication living labs with cities and regions, and that link circularity with reduced emissions, better air and water quality, biodiversity and citizens’ well-being.

The BIOMA Institute for Biodiversity and the Environment (University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain) is a multidisciplinary R&D centre working on the links between biodiversity, environmental quality, climate change, circular economy and human health.

In CIRCBIO-01 we can contribute with:

• Expertise in circular and energy-efficient buildings and districts, including façade retrofitting, material reuse, life-cycle thinking and links to indoor environmental quality.

• Experience with urban and building digital twins (energy, thermal comfort, air quality, occupancy, health-related indicators) in collaboration with municipalities and hospitals.

• Environmental monitoring and modelling of air quality, microclimate, heat stress and green/blue infrastructure at district and city scale.

• Skills in GIS, remote sensing and data integration to link urban form, land use, environmental conditions and socio-economic vulnerability.

• Hands-on experience in living labs and co-creation, especially in urban and campus environments, working with local authorities, companies, health providers and citizens.
