EU Programmes Manager at Tecnoambiente SLU
Cerdanyola del Vallès, Spain
About
Tecnoambiente, an environmental consulting firm with more than 40 years of experience and offices and laboratories in Spain and Latin America, is looking for a consortium for the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01: “Toward a comprehensive assessment of the disturbance of marine ecosystems by anthropogenic underwater noise.”
We are seeking partners to collaborate in a project that aims to deliver a comprehensive scientific framework to understand, monitor, and assess the effects of anthropogenic underwater noise on marine species, habitats, and ecosystem processes. The project will contribute directly to the EU Zero Pollution ambition and support implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) through improved methods, indicators, and policy-relevant evidence.
What the project will address
The consortium plans to work on:
-
Advanced underwater noise monitoring (continuous & impulsive)
-
Marine ecological impact studies across trophic levels
-
Modelling, including propagation models and cumulative impact assessment
-
Development of harmonised indicators, thresholds, and assessment methods
-
Integration of data from sensors, modelling, remote sensing, and AI/ML
-
Tools and guidance to support environmental authorities and policy-makers
-
Engagement with sectors such as shipping, ports, and offshore energy
Who we are looking for
We welcome expressions of interest from:
-
Research institutes and universities
-
Marine bioacoustics and ecology experts
-
Oceanographic and acoustic monitoring organisations
-
Data science, modelling, and ICT specialists
-
NGOs and stakeholder engagement organisations
-
Environmental authorities and policy bodies
-
SMEs developing sensors, platforms, and marine technology
Why partner with Tecnoambiente
With four decades of international experience, we bring:
-
In-house marine survey vessels and laboratories
-
Expertise in marine ecology, oceanography, and underwater acoustics
-
Extensive track record in EU and national R&D projects
-
Strong experience working with industry, authorities, and research institutions
-
Capacity to lead fieldwork, environmental analyses, and technical work packages
We aim to form a strong, multidisciplinary consortium capable of delivering innovative methodologies, quality datasets, and robust policy recommendations to advance EU knowledge and management of underwater noise.
