About
The Betül-Ziya Eren Genome and Stem Cell Center (GENKÖK) at Erciyes University is one of Türkiye’s most advanced research hubs in genomics, stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, and translational biotechnology. Established to bridge fundamental science with clinical and industrial applications, GENKÖK provides an integrated research environment equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, including GMP-certified facilities for cell therapy and gene-based product development.
GENKÖK hosts comprehensive infrastructure for next-generation sequencing, proteomics, metagenomics, bioinformatics, flow cytometry, and transgenic model systems, enabling multidisciplinary research across molecular genetics, personalized medicine, cancer biology, and regenerative therapies. Its biobank and high-capacity data platforms support large-scale studies and long-term collaborative projects.
The center’s mission is to advance scientific innovation through high-quality research, graduate education, and partnerships with national and international institutions.
