Consortia development for HORIZON-CL6-2026-02-FARM2FORK-14

We have previously and are currently supporting the Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA) partnership through several Horizon Europe funded programmes. From 2019-2022 the ACU was task lead for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) of the Long-term Europe-Africa Research and Innovation Partnership for Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (LEAP4FNSSA).

Following on from this, we are the work package lead for MEL in the LEAP4FNSSA successor project, Consortium Europe-Africa for Research and Innovation on Food Systems Transformation (CEA-First). To complement this work, the ACU is a project partner in Strengthening Evidence-Based Policy Practice for Sustainable Food Systems (StEPPFoSS), funded by Horizon Europe, under the EU-AU Partnership. This project will link the activities of the FNSSA partnership and those of the Pan-African Network for Economic Analysis of Policies (PANAP). The ACU is supporting a range of work packages and is task lead for the PANAP – FNSSA Partnership MEL framework.  

We bring knowledge of the CEA-First project, as well as FNSSA programmes more broadly. We can provide MEL leadership, building on what we have done for existing FNSSA programmes. We can also lead multi-actor approaches, bringing together relevant actors and researchers in food security. We are aiming to connect with organisations with subject matter expertise in food production and loss, as well as those interesting in coordinating the project.
