About

Katif Research and Development Center is a regional applied research organization located in the heart of the Western Negev, Israel's largest agricultural region, operating under the auspices of Ben-Gurion University. The Research and Development Center was established in 1984 by the Ministry of Science to promote agricultural and ecological research and is currently located in the Sdot Negev Regional Council. The center employs researchers, agronomists, and ecologists who work to promote agriculture, the community, and applied research in the Western Negev and surrounding areas. The team of scientists at the institute researches and develops applied solutions in various fields, working diligently on future agricultural technologies.
