About

The Faculty of Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology (FPTBHE) was established in 2012 as a direct response to market demands. At that time, many employers and leading figures in companies across Montenegro emphasized the need for qualified personnel in the field of food technology. It was confirmed that Montenegro lacked a sufficient number of professionals in the areas of food technology, food storage technology, and food safety, with an additional focus on sustainability and environmental protection. Thus, in cooperation with representatives of leading companies in Montenegro, as well as recognized experts and professors in these fields, the Faculty of Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology was founded. The Faculty’s core mission is to create an effective strategy to address major challenges such as climate change, environmental pressures, food safety, public health, and sustainable production and growth.

In addition, the Faculty actively participates in a large number of national and European projects, contributing to the advancement of knowledge, innovation, and best practices in these crucial areas.
