Department of Food Concentrates and Starch Products located in Poznań, Poland is branch of Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology – State Research Institute with headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.
The main scientific areas of the department include development of new technologies for starch isolation and protein form raw material, improvement of technologies of starch processing technology and its derivatives, valorization of side-streams resulting form food processing and development of edible/biodegradable packaging.
The research experience of the department includes i.e. determination of nutritional and sensory quality of food products (including accredited methods), physical characterization of products (especially rheological properties and texture), assessment of stability of dispersed food systems and scaling up technologies at semi-technical scale.
