About

Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster from Romania has been founded in 2011 with the main purpose of developing the bioenergy sector in Romania and raising the interest towards the production and utilization of the biomass with special focus on the rural areas. With 80 members, the Silver Labelled Cluster ensures the frame for cooperation between businesses, research organizations, universities and public administration. Businesses are mainly represented by the solid biofuel producers (energy willow, agricultural, forestry, wooden residue harvesting and processing), the biomass-based heating system manufacturers, biomass system installers, ESCO-s and energy consultants. The main pillars of the Cluster are the business development and value chain development, research and innovation, education and training, enhanced marketing and communication as well as internationalization.
