Łukasiewicz – ŁIT implements projects that naturally fit into the current scientific and research activities of the merged institutes. Importantly, the unit also operates in completely new areas available thanks to the combination of unique research potentials.

The consolidation of the Łukasiewicz institutes in Łódź contributed to the development of innovative solutions compatible with the textile industry, especially in the area of ​​circular economy, biomedicine and digitalization of technology. So far, none of the three Łukasiewicz institutes in Łódź has been able to fit into all the strategic directions of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, which correspond to the most important needs of entrepreneurs.

Thanks to the merger of Łukasiewicz – ŁIT, its activities cover 4 key research areas of the Łukasiewicz Research Network: Digital Transformation, Smart Mobility, Sustainable Economy and Energy, and Health.

Łukasiewicz – Łódź Institute of Technology belongs to the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the third largest research network in Europe.
