B-Hive is a cutting-edge Agri-tech company in the UK, founded with a mission to address pressing challenges in agriculture through science and technology. We specialize in developing innovative solutions that a) enhance marketable yield, b) improve crop quality, c) reduce waste, and d) improve supply chain efficiency. From pioneering non-invasive crop sensing systems to advanced AI-driven yield estimation, we are committed to delivering practical tools, empowering growers and food producers. We focus on innovation that results in the generation of new products/services, setting us aside from academic institutions. We have already created two spin-out commercial companies: HarvestEye (providing crop marketable insights during harvest) and RootExtracts (revalorising potato waste by extracting hypoallergenic protein from outgrade potatoes). Our multidisciplinary team includes plant biologists, mechatronic engineers, and computer scientists, who provide embedded solutions to integrate data with phenotype. Our research is aimed predominately at UK-based farmers, but we wish to expand into new international markets, since our technology can be used widely. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We invest in R&D to push boundaries of precision agriculture. Our flagship project (HarvestEye) is already making a tangible impact on productivity and sustainability in the sector.
