Navjotpal Kaur

I'm a sociologist, writer, and co-founder of Southnik Solutions. My work focuses on gender, particularly masculinities, agrarian change, and environmental degradation. I hold a PhD in Sociology and have conducted fieldwork across India, Canada, and Europe. My book, Hegemonic Masculinity, Caste, and the Body (Emerald Publishing), explores how caste and gender intersect to shape male identities in North India. I combine academic research with creative storytelling to better understand how people navigate social and environmental transitions. Through Southnik, I collaborate on interdisciplinary projects that center justice, inclusivity, and grounded, community-based perspectives.
