Climate-adapted sports medicine for rural athletes: I aim to co-create ergonomic, community-based strategies to boost resilience and health equity

About me
I am Murtazi Todadze, a sports medicine physician and PhD student in Business Administration at Georgian Technical University. I currently serve as a football club physician, emergency department doctor, and lecturer at the Academy of Business and Technology, integrating hands-on clinical practice with research into sustainable health and sports management strategies.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I treated patients on the front lines and studied the virus’s specific impact on athletes. This experience inspired my focus on climate-adapted sports medicine, particularly for athletes living in rural, mountainous, and border regions who face distinct ergonomic and health risks.
My current research explores how sports medicine, regional development, and public health innovation can be integrated to support vulnerable populations and strengthen community resilience through climate-smart, place-based healthcare approaches.
I am seeking research collaborators and project partners interested in developing interdisciplinary, scalable solutions that integrate climate-resilient sports medicine into regional health strategies. Let’s work together to support underserved communities through innovative, field-tested approaches.
