About me
Ing. Zuzana Šitavancová, Ph.D. is a Czech researcher, entrepreneur, and co-owner of MoraviaLab, a company focused on developing smart vertical farming technologies. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Protection in Industry from VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, where she also spent over a decade managing applied R&D projects.
Her expertise spans circular bioeconomy, sustainable urban agriculture, and digital agri-tech innovations. Zuzana is deeply rooted in the Moravian-Silesian Region, working closely with local stakeholders, including universities, innovation centers, and municipalities.
As a member of several innovation clusters (e.g., BIOEAST HUB CZ, IT Cluster MSK), she actively promotes regional resilience through green technologies, educational programs, and EU-funded projects. She regularly speaks at scientific and business forums, with recent contributions on local microgreens production, resilient food systems, and bio-based value chains.
Zuzana's activities align with Horizon Europe Cluster 6 goals, particularly in food security, biodiversity, and sustainable production. She is currently seeking partners for consortia focusing on regenerative agriculture, smart food systems, and circular innovation in transitioning regions.
