About me

With a background in marine sciences, I have engaged in diverse projects spanning coral ecology, fish endocrinology, and the exploration of novel molecules through biodiscovery. I earned my PhD in Biology from the University of Porto, focusing on investigating cyanobacterial substances' effects and mechanisms of action using multicellular tumor spheroids. During my doctoral studies at CIIMAR-UP, I collaborated closely with Linköping University and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Additionally, I played a key role in science management for various initiatives, primarily within the scientific domain, to foster innovation in academic and non-academic research and development endeavors.
My goal is to enhance my project management expertise while aligning with global standards. Transitioning to a business-focused environment will equip me with new tools, methodologies, and perspectives to advance my current research institution effectively.
