Agricultural University of Tirana (AUT) is the oldest university in Albania, founded on November 1, 1951. ´AUT is ranked FIRST by the High Council for Scientific Research at the Spanish Ministry of Education, among 35 Public and Non-Public Universities in our country. Agricultural University of Tirana actually has 6 faculties:

AUT actually is under the process of tranformation through the “AUT-BOKU 2030” project, a project in collaboration with University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, BOKU, Vienna, Austria, which aim to transform the AUT in a leading academic institution in the Life Science in Albania and Western Balkan.
The main goal of this project is to reform and transform AUT into a research-based university, aligning it with BOKU and other leading European institutions in three key pillars:
• Study Programs – Enhancing curricula with EU-aligned educational frameworks.
• Scientific Research – Strengthening AUT’s research capacity through international collaboration.
• Knowledge Transfer – Facilitating expertise exchange with industry and policy stakeholders.
AUT is the main Life Science University in Albania, with 350 highly qualified lecturers and 6,000 students. The university is positioned among the top-ranked institutions in the country, with a well-equipped campus, including an Experimental Didactic Farm (EDF) undergoing transformation.
This project envisions AUT:
• Becoming one of the Balkan’s best agricultural and life sciences universities.
• Providing high-quality interdisciplinary research and teaching.
• Taking a leading role in knowledge transfer and technology for society, businesses, and policymakers in Albania.

I am an assistant lecturer in the Department of Agronomic Sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Agricultural University of Tirana since 2019 and pursuing my PhD studies at this University. I completed my studies and obtained a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Geodesy at Polytechnic University of Tirana (AUT). I have approximately 12 years of experience in the use of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), geo-spatial analysis, multi-criteria analysis, cartography, digitization, and Spatial Decision Support Systems (GIS-based) and proficient in and uses software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Pro. Additionally, I am the project leader of the Geoinformation Center for the Western Balkans at the Agricultural University of Tirana, which aims to support the accession of Western Balkan countries (Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro) to the EU regarding Chapter 11 - Agriculture and Rural Development throughout the application of GIS, geo-spatial analyses, and Remote Sensing technology.
