Hamed Afsoosbiria

My name is Ing. Hamed Afsoosbiria, and I am a final-year PhD candidate at the Department of Civil Engineering-VSB in the Czech Republic. My research focuses on sustainable building materials, low-carbon concrete, utilization of waste materials in concrete, energy efficiency in buildings, and the application of circular economy principles in the construction sector.

Although my core expertise lies in civil engineering, my work strongly aligns with the objectives of Horizon Europe Cluster 6, particularly in the areas of circular economy and sustainable urban development. I am exploring how construction practices can reduce material waste, reuse resources, and contribute to a more resilient and environmentally conscious built environment.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration, I aim to contribute engineering-based solutions to the broader goals of green transformation and zero-pollution strategies.
