My organisation

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, an “Advanced Research and Education” awarded university (by Order of the Ministry of National Education no 5262/September 5th, 2011), is today a tertiary education institution having a long-standing tradition as well as national and international recognition. The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca comprises twelve faculties in the two academic centres, Cluj-Napoca and Baia Mare, and  programme locations in Alba-Iulia, Bistrita, Satu Mare and Zalau. The educational offer, aligned to the Bologna system, includes bachelor's, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as life-long learning programs. These cover a wide range of domains, from engineering, architecture, fundamental sciences, to social sciences, humanities and arts. In addition to these, the Department for Continuing Education, Distance Learning and Reduced Frequency Learning organizes and conducts life-long learning activities and programs, postgraduate courses, continuous professional development programs and courses, or custom-tailored courses based on occupational standards.

About me

I am an Associate Professor at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with a strong background in civil engineering, forestry, and innovation management. Holding two PhDs—one in civil engineering (specialized in wood construction and wood waste valorization) and another in economics (focused on innovation management)—I actively work at the intersection of sustainable construction, circular economy, and bio-based materials.

My research explores the integration of wood waste and alternative cementitious materials to develop sustainable building solutions. Additionally, I am deeply involved in technology transfer and innovation ecosystems, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and industry applications.

I am looking to connect with partners for Horizon Europe Cluster 6 projects, particularly in areas related to bioeconomy, sustainable construction, circular use of materials, and the environmental impact of the built environment. My expertise extends to project coordination, interdisciplinary research collaboration, and strategic partnerships that drive research toward real-world implementation and commercialization.

I am eager to collaborate with universities, research institutes, and private companies working on bio-based solutions, circular economy strategies, and sustainable infrastructure. Let’s explore potential synergies and opportunities to build impactful projects together!
