About

We are a deep-tech SME, experienced in EU grants, developing innovative AI-driven autonomous weeding robots to advance sustainable, low-carbon and digital agriculture

Our mission is to transform agriculture through digitalisation, automation, and sustainability, providing solutions that:
- Reduce herbicide use by >90%;
- Lower CO₂ emissions and soil compaction;
- Increase farm productivity and resilience;
- Make precision agriculture affordable and accessible to all farmers.

Our flagship technology — RoboAIweeder — combines AI-based plant recognition, hybrid mechanical + energy-beam weed removal, and multi-GNSS/camera navigation, operating fully on renewable energy. It is designed for small and medium farms, including those in hilly, arid, and organic environments.

We are already experienced in EU grant administration and consortium work already managing a > 3M € portfolio of nationally and EU-funded projects. Currently, Smart Farm Robotix is funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC Accelerator, GA 101166300) and is a member of the EIT Food FAN Accelerator 2025 cohort, demonstrating both technological excellence and market readiness.

Founded in 2022 in Bulgaria, we operate pilots in Bulgaria and Southern Europe and work closely with farmers, agronomists, and digital innovators to demonstrate sustainable practices and validate next-generation agri-technologies.

Key strengths:
- Ready to deploy and operate RoboAIweeder units in on-farm pilots.
- Experienced in multi-site validation across varied European micro-climates.
- Provides real-world environments for testing AI, IoT, sensor integration, and data services.
- Builds digital twins and interoperability testbeds linking agri-data and machinery data using open standards (GAIA-X, IDSA).
- EIC Accelerator , EIT Food FAN Accelerator and Start Life Accelerator (by Wageningen University & Research) recognition confirm market excellence and scaling potential.
