About
Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante has more than 30 years of experience in activities related to quality and food safety, analytical water control, waste, soil and sludge, sanitary engineering, and the control of discharges and control of water treatment plants. The company’s main areas of work are as follows:
Microbiology. This area is focused on the detection of organisms and micro-organisms in samples through rapid and automated methods.
Physicochemical. Tests on food and environmental samples, with techniques such as volumetry and gravimetry, and other more advanced techniques such as molecular spectrophotometry, ion chromatography, electrometry and selective electrodes.
Chromatography. Test for organic micropollutants in food, water, sludge, leachates and waste using standardised techniques and sophisticated equipment.
Genomics. The aim of the genomics area of Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante is to analyse environmental and food sector samples from the point of view of molecular biology.
Environmental Studies. The environmental studies department specialises in the evaluation of water in accordance with the Water Framework Directive and in morphological quality assessments, operation of control networks by means of the necessary sampling and analysis of the different quality elements (such as physical-chemical, hydromorphological and biological analysis), determination of the ecological status of bodies of water, and establishment and revision of the network of monitoring and control stations in rivers, lakes and reservoirs.
Control of Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) and Discharge Control. This area is responsible for the supervision and control of water treatment plants in order to ensure the quality of water quality.
