Circular Spool Upcycling Use case
About
This initiative is developing circular plastic cable spools. The initiative repurposes cable industry waste to produce new, durable spools, establishing circular supply chains based on return logistics and financing of CBM. through optimised waste repurposing and recycling. The initiative is developing circular plastic cable spools. The initiative repurposes electric cable industry waste [PET and High-density polyethylene (HDPE)] to produce new, durable spools, establishing circular supply chains based on return logistics and financing of Circular Business Model. through optimised waste repurposing and recycling.
Using recycled PET and HDPE as raw materials offers a significant energy advantage compared to using virgin plastic. The energy required to produce virgin plastic from fossil fuels is substantially higher than the energy required for the injection moulding process itself. Studies show that recycling can save up to 76% of the energy needed to produce new plastics. Please contact via email r.varotto@nsbproject.com for additional details.
