BIODIV-06: regional socio-economic modelling of impacts of biodiversityin agriculture
About
A spatial-explicit socio-economic model should be applied in several regions across Europe. These regions should differ in terms of agricultural structure, type of production and climate. Data will be accessed through national and European censuses. Different kinds of biodiversity-friendly farming practices are selected, and their impact on farm and regional economics, food production, and biodiversity is calculated. The application of these practices, their impacts and valorisation opportunities will be discussed with stakeholders.
