About
We are a multi-sectoral Israeli initiative dedicated to accelerating the adoption of regenerative principles in agriculture and are seeking to join an effort on ensuring the global food system guarantees health, safety, and the full spectrum of nutritional needs while remaining sustainable; this by contributing to accelerating farming systems transition in all agricultural production systems and approaches.
One of our core areas of work is the development of a robust set of indicators and metrics to supporting evidence-based policy-making for future food safety. We aim at applying systemic approach for monitoring the agroecology transition, soil and biodiversity resources regeneration, and overall food system sustainability.
While Israel operate as a dense and diverse agroecological testbed, characterized with high proximity to various pedo-climatic conditions and environmental and socioeconomic contexts within a small geographic area, RegenIL, the Center for Regenerative Agriculture, engages actors from across the Israeli food system to create the framework in which members can participate in transformative training programs and case studies, engage in work groups and policy-relevant activities, connect locally and globally, and collaborate for impact.
