Cooperation offer
Head of International Cooperation Division at Łukasiewicz Research Network –Industrial Chemistry Institute
Warsaw, Poland
About
The Institute is developing a technology for the production of P3HB (poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)) – with potential for collaboration in exploring new applications of this biopolymer. As for the applications of this polymer, we see potential in:
-
the production of films, pellets, granules, etc., with controlled release/dosing from these formulations;
-
encapsulation of substances in a P3HB shell to enable controlled release;
-
agricultural nets (e.g., for protecting plants from birds);
-
plant growth bags.
Moreover, our Biotechnology Center is eager to participate in a research project by offering:
-
Microorganism screening: search for bioactive compounds
-
Genetic engineering of microorganisms: designing synthesis pathways for chemical products, genome analysis based on sequencing, development of production strains
-
Optimization and scale-up of biotechnological processes (up to 150 L scale)
-
In vitro biological testing of substances (including cytotoxicity, anti-inflammatory properties)
-
Preparation of biological material for long-term storage (cell banks, lyophilization)
