Sustainable Biotech Platform for designe of new Natural Compound
Assistant Professor at University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology

About
We are developing a sustainable and environmentally friendly process for the isolation and functional modification of plant-derived bioactive compounds, with a focus on dimerization using green solvents and enzymatic catalysts. Instead of conventional methods involving hazardous chemicals and energy-intensive steps, our approach uses mild, selective, and eco-friendly techniques that preserve bioactivity and enhance the functionality of target molecules.
We offer expertise in:
-
Green extraction and enzymatic modification of natural compounds
-
Oxidative dimerization using NADES
-
Bioactivity testing and compound characterization
-
Valorization of plant-based waste and agro-industrial by-products
-
Different separation/extraction processes
-
Proteine/enzyme isolation and purification
