NutriCycleX: Demonstration, deployment and upscaling of circular systemic solutions in cities and regions (Circular Cities and Regions Initiative)
About
We are seeking partners to join a dynamic consortium under the Horizon Europe call targeting systemic circular economy solutions. Our proposal aims to demonstrate and scale an innovative, patented biotechnology process that upcycles organic waste—such as poultry manure and food waste—into high-quality organic fertilisers and soil improvers. The process has already been approved by the UK's Animal and Plant Health Agency for poultry manure and is undergoing evaluation for its application to food waste nutrient recycling.
Aligned with the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), our project will deploy this proven technology in urban and regional settings to improve sustainability in agriculture and horticulture. We will involve key stakeholders across the value chain—local authorities, technology providers, farmers, growers, suppliers, retailers, and civil society—to co-create circular, low-emission solutions that regenerate ecosystems, support biodiversity, and mitigate climate change.
This opportunity is ideal for partners committed to circular bioeconomy models, sustainable food systems, and resilient regional development. The consortium will actively contribute to impact monitoring, governance innovation, financing models, and replication strategies through CCRI networks.
Let’s collaborate to drive a circular transformation for people, nature, and climate.
