ZEROPOLLUTION-07 - NEPTUNE (Utilizing environmentally sustainable practices to evaluate coffee by-products as an adsorbent for developing water filters)
About
This innovative project offers several significant advantages, including the reduction of waste by repurposing coffee by-products, the potential for cost-effective production of water filters, and the utilization of sustainable, zero-emission methodologies. The project focuses on the adsorption process, utilizing coffee residues in various ratios to effectively adsorb methylene blue dye, thereby enhancing water purification efficiency and promoting environmental sustainability.
Innovation Hive will coordinate the development of the project proposal and will be in charge of the LCA, dissemination, sustainability and impact activities.
For this project, Innovation Hive is looking for a partner from a chemistry departement. This partner will provide the lab and will carry out the tests through which water filters will be created by coffee residues.
