Location Tracking System for Patient Evacuation

Sun Tekstil has a patented product for patient evacuation from hospitals during emergencies. This product is a lightweight& easy to use textile based system for immobile patients. The evacuation bed is placed under the patient’s existing bed and kept ready for use in case of an emergency. In case of an emergency the evacuation is carried out with this product by the relevant healthcare staff. Evacuated patients can be transferred to different departments within the hospital, outside the hospital or to other hospitals with this product regarding to the emergency response plan. The aim for this project idea is to develop necessary hardware and software to enable the tracking of the location of the evacuation bed, along with the patient, in both indoor and outdoor environments, and to integrate this system into product. Location of evacuated patients can be tracked, and cases of patients being lost during chaotic moments can be prevented. A prototype tracking system should be developed and integrated into the evacuation bed. Field tests will be conducted in real hospital environments to validate the system. If the technology partner already has such a product, integration can be achieved without the need for additional R&D work. The evacuation bed with the integrated tracking system is also intended to be commercialized and introduced to the market. We looking for a technology partner for developing and integrating the tracking system to evacuation bed. We are open to collaborate and submit a project for international fundings.
