CTCP, the Portuguese Footwear Research and Technological Centre has almost 40 years of experience in research and innovation, quality control and training activities. CTCP team involves 70 persons with complementary expertise and modern laboratories where ideas are transformed in solutions that are exported and used by citizens in the 5 continents.
CTCP, has know-how and experience in engaging and coordinating Research and Innovation projects and activities, aiming the development of advanced, functional and circular footwear materials and products supported by life cycle analysis, and production processes and environmental technologies. CTCP participates and leads several projects at National and European level.
Working on quality control since 1981, CTCP’s laboratory can carry more than 300 different tests according to International, European and National standards (ISO, EN, ASTM and other standards). The CTCP laboratory is accredited according to ISO 17025, to test materials, components and finished products.
To support companies in the Environmental Area, CTCP qualified team performs, namely: Applied Research; Life cycle analysis; Environmental and energy audits and diagnostics and improvement plans; Environmental legislation follow-up and specific legal obligations applied to footwear and allied trade; and Reduction and recycling of waste generation as well as proper managing and disposal.
