With mattressID, TripleR creates an ecosystem of all stakeholders in the mattress industry: mattress brands. manufacturers, refurbishers, collectors and disassemblers, recylers. With the help of item level digital product passports, accessible via QR code for consumers and RFID for industrial purposes, mattressID wants to improve the end-of-life handling of mattresses. Disassembling the various components, known via the digital passport, into separate waste streams enables high value recycling of foams and textiles, resulting in using recycled materials in new mattress production.
