About me
Tunç Durmaz is an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, with research interests spanning climate change, energy economics, green transition and growth, circular economy, and prosumer behavior. His work has been featured in prestigious journals such as Energy Economics, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Economics Of Energy & Environmental Policy. At Yildiz Technical University and University Savoie Mont Blanc - Solar Academy, he has been teaching courses in Advanced Environmental Economics (PhD), Environmental Economics (MA), Economics of Energy and Climate Policies (MA), and Price Dynamic Modeling (MA), among others. Durmaz earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics, where he explored the role of technology in promoting green economic growth and the economics of electricity storage. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong.
